Woman barely survives fire: when hairdresser restyles her years later, they both have to cry

England - In most cases, the TikTok videos from "Novo Cabelo Hair" are about people getting a toupee. Rob Wood's company, which specializes in hair systems, regularly lands viral hits with its curious makeovers. On Friday, the team from England returned with a much more violent story. This time, burn victim Vanessa sat with Wood.

The poor woman was torn from her normal life about five years ago. She was able to save herself at the last second in a devastating house fire, but was seriously injured.

"I have 48 percent burns on my skin," says the British woman in the video, which has been going viral since Friday. "And my body is still healing," she continues.

According to Vanessa, she wrestled with death for almost three months until she was out of the woods. However, she was not initially grateful to have survived. It was the Katie Piper Foundation that helped her out of her slump.

The Katie Piper Foundation is a charitable organization that supports fire victims. Its namesake and founder, Katie Piper, was once the victim of an acid attack.

Vanessa's main reason for visiting Wood was to finally get a makeover after five years. Special attention was paid to her hairstyle.

In addition to a complete hair system, the older lady in the clip is also given a professional makeover. Only when everything is finished is she allowed to look in the mirror.

As soon as Vanessa sees herself in her new look, it bursts out of her: "Holy shit! Oh my God!" Totally overwhelmed, she looks at her new hair.

The fire survivor can't believe how exactly Wood managed to get her former hairstyle back. Even the length is exactly how she dreamed it would be, says the customer.

In the end, the hairdresser and Vanessa are in tears. But it's not just the two of them who are touched, but also the TikTok audience, which has been growing rapidly since the clip was published. After just one day, around one million clicks have already been accumulated.

On a positive note, 100% of the proceeds generated by the viral hit will go to the Katie Piper Foundation, according to the commentary next to the video.
